Hope you are finding a few ways to celebrate Earth Day today. Well, if not today, why not every day?
I’m excited about all the folks coming to the store this year and learning about vegetable gardening! If you’ve been thinking of investing some time in growing your own food, stop by we’d be glad to help get you started.
Today our business hours change to accommodate your busy schedule and the longer days. New hours are:

Dawn & Ethan Phillips of Mother Earth Farm are pleased to announce a kick off to the 2013 growing season.
On April 21, 2013 from 3-6 the public is cordially invited to an Open House and Earth Day celebration at 610 Apple Hill Road Waynesburg, PA.
During this time guests may participate in children’s activities focusing on reducing, reusing and recycling. There will also be plant potting demonstrations, discussion of beneficial insects and a live lady bug release. Jennifer Adamson of the Pottery at Mother Earth Farm will be on site throwing pottery and talking with guests.
Mother Earth Farm is a natural grower of bedding plants, annuals, herbs, houseplants, perennials and vegetables in pots, packs and baskets. They also supply trees, shrubs and fruit trees at 610 Apple Hill Road Waynesburg, PA.

So now that we are going to open this Thursday the popular question will be what can I plant this time of year? Well here is a lovely example of something that will not mind the cool spring temperatures we are experiencing!
So now that we are done with the eye candy… what else you may ask?
